Troubleshooting: Friend Not Showing / Can't Find Friend

Why you can't see your friend's online status or find them for Cross-Play.

Why this happens

  • Privacy Settings: You or your friend set "Appear Offline".
  • Cross-Play Disabled: One of you has Cross-Play OFF.
  • Account Not Linked: You haven't added them as an in-game friend (e.g., Tarsier Account / Epic ID).

Fixes (Same Platform)

  1. Online Status: Both players appear Online.
  2. Restart: Close the game and friend list.
  3. Party Invite: Try inviting through the console/Steam party menu instead of in-game.

Fixes (Cross-Platform)

  1. In-Game Friends: Add their unique Display Name in the Social Menu.
  2. Enable Cross-Play: Check Settings > Network > Cross-Play: ON.
  3. Same Version: Cross-play often breaks if updates are mismatched.
