Troubleshooting: Controller Not Detected / Player 2 Can't Join
How to fix Player 2 controller issues in REANIMAL Local Co-op.
Initial Setup
Connect both controllers to your PC/Console.
Launch REANIMAL with Controller 1.
On the Main Menu, press the
Join Button
on Controller 2 (e.g., A/Cross/Start).
If Controller 2 does not respond, restart the game with both controllers connected.
Steam (PC) Fixes
Steam Input
: Go to
Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings
and ensure your controller type (Xbox/PS/Generic) is checked.
Enable Steam Input for REANIMAL
: Right-click REANIMAL in your library > Properties > Controller > Enable Steam Input.
Big Picture Mode
: Launch the game via Big Picture Mode to force controller recognition.
Common Issues
Generic Controllers
: Use software like x360ce to emulate an Xbox controller if yours isn't recognized.
Wireless Connection
: Bluetooth lag might cause dropped inputs. Use a wired connection.
