Troubleshooting: Friend's Pass Not Working

Why you can't invite a friend or why they can't download the Friend's Pass.

Why is it not working?

  • Version Mismatch: The Host (Full Game) and Guest (Friend's Pass) must be on the exact same Build ID. Update both clients.
  • Region Lock: The Friend's Pass might not be available in all regional stores immediately.
  • Host Requirement: Friend's Pass players cannot host lobbies; they can only join invites.

Fixes

  1. Manual Search: Search for "REANIMAL Friend's Pass" manually on the Steam/Console store. It is often a separate download, not a DLC.
  2. Re-Send Invite: Ask the Host to send a fresh invite through the platform overlay (Steam Overlay / Xbox Guide).
  3. Restart: Fully restart the console or Steam client to refresh entitlements.
