Fix: Cross-play not working (can’t find / can’t join)
Cross-play failure checklist for REANIMAL: version sync, privacy toggles, same-platform isolation tests, NAT sanity checks, and demo caveats.
Fast checklist
- Same game version on both ends
- Both players appear online + can receive invites
- Restart game + platform client
Isolation test (most important)
- Test co-op with someone on the same platform
- If same-platform works → cross-play pairing/settings issue
- If same-platform fails → general network/NAT issue
Network sanity checks
- Avoid strict Wi-Fi (hotel/school)
- Try wired or stable 5GHz
- Test a different network (hotspot test)
Demo caveat
Demo cross-play behavior can differ from full launch / patched builds.
