Online Co-op Guide

Everything about Online Co-op in REANIMAL: hosting, joining, cross-play details, and connection stability.

Does REANIMAL have Online Co-op?

Yes, REANIMAL supports full Online Co-op for the entire campaign. You can play with a friend over the internet, and cross-platform play is supported.

How to Play Online (Hosting & Joining)

  1. Hosting:

    • Select "New Game" or "Continue".
    • Choose "Online Co-op" in the lobby.
    • Open your Friends List (e.g., Shift+Tab on Steam, or Platform Menu on Consoles) and send an invite.
    • Wait for your friend to join the lobby before launching.
  2. Joining:

    • Accept the invite from your platform notification.
    • Ensure you are on the Main Menu when accepting to minimize loading issues.

Connection Stability Tips

Avoid "Desync"

The shared physics engine requires precise synchronization.

  • Wired Connection: Recommended for the Host.
  • Same Region: Playing across continents (e.g., EU to NA) may cause rubber-banding or input lag for the Client (Guest).

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

  • Can't Join: Check if both players are on the same game version.
  • Micro-stutters: The game uses lockstep networking. If one player lags, both may feel it.
